How goes the week. We have been busy here studying and training. We have added some new links from hypnosis downloads. We haven’t worked with them in a while and they have some well deserved promotion time. They were my very first introduction to self improvement through hypnosis. I am amazed at how quickly some of the patterns work.

EXTORION LURE

The way this lure works is a predator lays a trap for a child. The bait may be in the form of pornographic material, money or drugs. It’s placed in plain view, wherever children are likely to see it, stop to pick it up and be able to hide it on their person. The predator, who’s watching or video taping the set up, waits until the child takes possession of the bait. As soon as that happens, he steps forward to confront the child for having the bait in their possession.

The predator will threaten to tell the child’s parents, the police or someone else in authority. After they paint this picture of doom, they tell the child there’s a way out. But, only if they do something for them. This something is usually sex or some other illicit act.

(Children should never be fearful to discuss anything with their parents. This is particularly true if they are accused of wrongdoing by anyone.)

Webbers it is Monday. I have definitely cranked out some work today. We helped a local charity out by delivering some supplies. What a great job everyone is doing to help them out. Tomorrow I get to visit another mining installation. Should be interesting to say the least.

Now on to the real juice of my day. Ever heard of using a pendulum to scribe for answers. I am practicising this techniques and seems pretty interesting. Short story is you scribe a yes and no line on a piece of paper and ask questions and allow your subconscious to answer. This technique works for some and not for others. I have to guinea pig this technique for the week.

I did get some great literature in this week. I will be thumbing through the following metaphors we live by and hypnotherapy scripts. Suggested readings by a good friend.

Lastly I am pushing through my advanced hypnotherapy course. Now that we are up to date on whats shaking out there.

Threat Lure

Threatening a child with bodily harm or threatening to harm a child’s family or friends is another underhanded method employed by predators. These threats usually occur in a secluded area where interruption or possible intercession by a casual passerby is unlikely.

When alone and confronted by a person who is much larger, children become frightened and often succumb to the threats in order to avoid anyone being hurt. The predator relies on the child’s fear to work as both a motivator to do what he wants and a silencer to avoid detection.

Hello Webbers,

I ran across this story and thought it would make a good post.

The topic of life coaches came up recently with a group of friends that I keep up with in an online forum and it had me thinking about if this was the right time in my life to consider seeing a life coach.

What can a life coach do for you? A life coach is non-credentialed therapist. They take an hands-on approach to helping people with relationship, career, family, and finance issues.

To read the rest of the story go here [Simply Budgeted]

Dear friend,

Do you ever feel like you could have taken a better path in life?

Does the thought your that natural talents and abilities are not being utilized as best as they could be or perhaps even wasted ever cross your mind?

Have you ever thought to yourself that you’re just way too smart to be doing whatever it is that you’re doing for a living?

Are you tired of working for someone else and want to build your own business, but don’t know where to start?

If you’ve answered yes to any one of these questions (and my guess is that you probably did otherwise you wouldn’t have visited this website) then shut your cell phone off, close out your e-mail and put whatever you’ve been doing on hold for the next five minutes because what you’re about to learn here can and will change your life forever, just as it has done for countless others.

The fact of the matter is that many people around the world have felt just like you, at one point in their lives.

They knew their lives’ were headed in the wrong direction. They knew that they were severely underutilizing their skills and talents. They knew in their hearts that they could be doing something better to serve humanity, while also being able to quit their job and build their own business.

If you would like to start a new path go here for Life Coaching Certification Click Here!

Hello Webbers,

Good Morning, I hope all is well. What a great weekend. Friday started off with meeting up with some coworkers and the family at an Easter seals event in Manchester, NH. The whole time the topic of personal responsibility has been spinning around in my head. We had a great time. The event was a success with a substantial amount of money raised.

Over the weekend we visited the Benson’s animal park in Hudson, NH they did a great job with the site. Now just Benson’s Park. We ran around a good couple of hours. At one point we watched a poor parent get nervous because they couldn’t locate their child. Luckily the child was just around the corner from them. Needless to say the park was packed and one could realize how fast one could get lost never mind if you had two to watch. However it is even more evident to me that the tools brickhouse represents are even more important for parents with multiple children. If you have any interest in those tools available go here.

PLAYMATE LURE

Just to be aware here is a lure used by would be predators. – Predators know that children like to play and do fun things. Becoming involved with children can create lures that children will find enticing. A popular method used by predators is to become a playmate. This lure is most often used on children who are alone or who appear to have low self esteem. The predator will always try to attract their intended victim with something they lack. In this case it’s attention by offering toys, games, and other type of fun activity. – courtesy of the NSA

For more Information about this and other child safety information contact us today.

On the topic of personal responsibility. I find it interesting how people find it easy to blame everyone else. One of my favorite examples is this short film from the movie Rocky.

As most know I believe in the law of attraction. We get exactly what we ask for. In one way or the other. I work and train very hard and can be intense at times. When I hear the excuses, some people use to say why they failed. I just shake my head and say that is the best they can come up with. Sometimes it is a bit insulting. I started learning about this on a very physical level. Being a small child I was not a top athlete. However over time By high school I was very athletic and enjoyed every minute I could spend doing physical activity. I was as into weight lifting as anyone could be I lived in the gym for hours a day. At one point that all started to change. I started to transition into martial arts. Not just any martial art one that I had always wanted to study. This is where personal responsibility became my biggest challenge. I always was head strong and would force my way forward this was not always the best way. I would get hit and blame my partner. The technique would go wrong and I would blame my partner. Then I started to see ways to control the response of my partner and realized all those times it was really me who made the error. That I needed to own those mistakes and take personal responsibility for the technique working and not working. As with anything in life we only control fifty percent of any situation that involves others. However that 50 is my 100 percent. I do that and they are bound to give up ten or fifteen percent. I have to be personally responsible for my shortcomings and my advances.

This is not much different in business I have a team of five people we all work towards the same goal however if someone on the team fails it is my personal responsibility to the client that I take the hit for the failure. I also have a personal responsibility to the team that the short comming is rectified so that failure does not happen again. I could take the road easier travelled and travelled by many. To simply tell the client someone on my team failed and it was not my fault. I could also tell the team we lost the job beacause of this persons mistake. The problem is by not taking responsibility I have created more problems and no solutions. The client looses face in my word and my leadership. The team is wondering how soon their next mistake earns them the hot seat. It creates uneasiness and tensionin the team. Everyone begins to practice CYA (cover your a**) No one will be willing to take a chance and any creativeness is reduce to what can stay in the box. However by taking responsibility it shows the client we are human and we are there to provide a solution. For the team it creates the ability to make things happen and work outside the box.

Enough of the rant jeesh… Ask yourself – What could I have done different? How does that benefit me? What is the lesson? How can I improve on that? What would I need to feel, hear or see to change that? What am I really feeling? Question what is going on inside yourself before you look to place blame outside.

I hope this gives you some things to ponder on.

Take care Webbers,

Morning Webbers,

It is amazing how many conflicts we can have in one week. We may have disagreements with others and or physical confrontations. We also have internal confrontations whether we should do this or that and these conflicts can lead to procrastination, avoiding situations and improper actions in certain social or public settings. One has to decide how to deal with the conflict and what they are willing to do.

First we must understand the issue through active listening, rephraseing and sumarizing.

Second we need to gather information as to what the situation is about. Then determine if the problem has been identified clearly and concisely.

Three Agree that there is a problem.

Four Brainstorm a solution.

Five negotiate a solution.

What if you cannot get off of number one? Then you have to make some decisions. Is it important enough to be in conflict over? Can you agree to the problem? Does the situation warrant a physical response?

These are personal questions that only you can answer if you cannot. You may have some personal conflict of your own to be settled. Wnat to know more contact us today.

KEEPING DISTANCE AND RUNNING AWAY WHEN THREATENED

A child is no physical match for an adult. If threatened. Fighting is never an option. Even if involved in Martial Arts or some other form of self- defense training, children should be taught to quickly retreat – not fight. There are several preventive actions children can take when confronted with a potentially dangerous situation.

Teach your child to maintain a ten to fifteen – foot distance from a threatening person or vehicle. This will give the child more time to react should they need to flee. Also, children should know to run like the wind should they feel something is wrong or if someone is trying to grab them. Finally, children should know how to scream for help at the top of their lungs.

Speaking of breaking records. What personal records have you broken lately? Are you still doing your same old comfortable routines? Why not add soem variety in your life and try to do it differently? Try changing just one thing and see what effect it has on your day.

POLICE LURE

Uniforms that police officers, emergency medical technicians, doctors, nurses and many others wear. Can easily be purchased by anyone at Army Navy surplus stores in any state. Other props like badges, emblems and patches can be purchased the same way.

Two things should be pointed out to your child. Number one is the fact that seldom if ever is a uniformed police officer far from his police vehicle. Your child should be able to see a marked police vehicle close by. Number two, it is illegal for an officer to interview a juvenile without at least an adult – usually their parent or guardian present. Therefore if a police officer needs to ask a juvenile some questions, the questioning should take place in school, in the child’s home or at the police station.

This week has been an interesting one I am finishing up some coursework in hypnosis. I find it amazing how the brain works. I have to fly webbers I will let you know the details on the night. GO SOX!

Until next time keep moving forward and live your life by design.

Hello Webbers I hope all is well.

I am watching the week scream by and before I know it I will be on the golf course relaxing. Before I can do that. I needed to make this blog post on the use of Internet Lures.

Internet Lure

internet lure

The internet is a powerful tool that has made our world a little smaller and more informed. But for all its good. The internet also has its faults just as you shouldn’t trust every telephone caller, you must exercise an equal amount of caution regarding the internet.

There are two ways the internet poses a risk for children. First is communication. If you don’t allow your child to talk to strangers on the telephone, you shouldn’t allow them to communicate with them on the internet either.

Since the growth of the internet, sexual predators have found they are no longer restricted to just parks, school grounds and malls. Instead, they can anonymously roam freely from chat room to chat room cruising for unsuspecting kids. Now, with millions of children using the internet, law enforcement has become increasingly more challenged by predators using computer technology to victimize children.

Hello Webbers,

I hope all is well. What a busy time it is out there in cyberspace. I have been preoccupied with construction issues more than anything else. I find it hard to believe I started typing this last week and have not got it out yet. I was busy certifying for a level one child protection agent.

911 ABC’s

fire alarm emergency 911

Your first responsibility is to make sure that your child knows, and can repeat their full name, telephone number and full address. Secondly, your child should be able to make an emergency telephone call from either a home or public telephone.

In the event of an emergency, they should be able to pick up the telephone, listen for dial tone and then dial 911. WHen someone answers, they should be able to tell them where they are and what is wrong. Finally, they should not hang-up the telephone unless they are told to do so by the person on the other end unless they feel they are in danger. Try to come up with as many situation possible and use them as scenarios to train your child in the use of 911 services. Have your child practice dialing 911 just be sure the telephone is disconnected while practicing.

If by chance you are in a community without 911 services you should have a list of local emergency services by your home phone and a small card can be placed with your cellphone or in the address book inside. I use this as I travel often. I keep emergency number in my digital address book in case I need to use it and 911 is not available.

If you would like more information on how to keep your child safe please contact me through the website. This information is excerpted from NSA.

Martial Studies

I have thought long and hard about what to write here. This started off as a rant and I was very negative. This is my third rewrite and as I think this rant should be a chastizing I realize the people who really need to read it will not. I will choose to write the positive aspects of what I have learned and still am learning throught the martial studies. This is my personal view and not anyone elses. With that being said I have had the privledge to train with many masters. All very impressive and all of them have their own unique message to deliver.

Warrior man or women

I now watch people develop their own thoughts on a martial art that is older than any of us. I listen to them try to explain what is going on within a technique and how it should and should not work. What it should feel like. I would probably respect that if these people had a strong background in which to base their thoughts and explanations. For most of them it is what they have experienced in a well lit safe dojo. Great so you have gone to school. Martial last looking meant – 1. inclined or disposed to war; warlike: The ancient Romans were a martial people. 2. of, suitable for, or associated with war or the armed forces: martial music. 3. characteristic of or befitting a warrior: a martial stride.

Read more: martial: meaning and definitions — Infoplease.com http://dictionary.infoplease.com/martial#ixzz1raiofstK

Following that is the word art - skill in conducting any human activity. With that being said when I hear people who are still new to the Martial art ten years or less. I am dumbfounded that they can speak on martial ways. Many in the training say irresponsible and misguided things. They do and I wonder how responsible they will feel when thier misinformation leads to someone being hurt or injured. I really wish they would understand how to use thier physical bodies first. Unfortunately I believe today everyone wants to be an expert. That really is fine and you can be an expert in your own world. Just please keep your reality to yourself. Which is why I choose to keep mine to myself . For years there was a saying shut up and train.

A few rules I have gathered over the years and hold dear to my heart and use everyday are:

Master the Menutia – (Mark Davis) Which means to me as paying attention to the small details within the bigger picture. Within a technique there are key identifiers that once found the technique can become a very simple task. Also most people only pay attention to the gross (big) movements not the angle of the body or the position of weight in relation to the opponent.

Get comfortable doing the uncomfortable – (Ken Savage) Push your limits. If you are uncomfortable it means you are ready to grow so you have to forge your way through and you will overcome something that is limiting or holding you back. I have found this to be true in Martial arts as well as life.

Explore, Challenge and Develop your Warrior Spirit – (Ken Savage) Do I really need to say more?

Find a few training partners who will challenge you progressively – (My first teacher) What I mean by this is don’t step into a technique feeling you know it. I enjoy when being an uke to feel the toris attack before having any reaction to their technique so I feel what is happening to my body. As we progress through then we start to challenge the basic to find the holes in our techniques as uke or tori. In that way we fill the gaps and as we get better we grow together. Which leads me to the next point.

You can only be as good as the weakest link in your group – (military tactical training) If you do not have people that can challenge your techniques you will stop growing and remember this can happen on a body, mind, and spiritual level.

In the Dojo it is a lab go head and blow stuff up – (My personal saying) Train hard and try different things for a long time I believed there were only eight ways to move. That held true for me for many years in reality I have found there are many more ways. I also used to believe the only way you couldn’t move was directly into the line of attack however I have found that to be something of an untruth as well. Challenge the technique practice on a physical, mental and spiritual level.

I am still a student and will never say I fully understand any of the teachings fully. I have had the opportunity to have many conversations with Masters from several systems and they all repeat the need for dedicated practice not just in the Dojo but outside as well. I remember one teacher stating that we are not normal people as Martial Artists we are warriors and must display our dedication. His belief is that there should be a blade above the entry to your home to show people that you do believe in Warrior practice.

In closing Martial Arts to me should be the study and understanding of how and why I do the things I do in this world and what it serves. If the answer is nothing or has no value I try to cut it away from my life.

I hope whoever reads this keeps on the path that has been kept clear for them. If not I hope they have a sharp machete to forge a new path. For those that are lost with in the training I hope your internal compass is strong enough to return you to your place on the path. If not I wish you a safe journey to wherever your destination takes you.

If the people who I thought would never read this do good. I hope it brings some light so you can find your way out of the dark forest and back onto the trail.

The psychology of survival

Know Yourself: Through training, family, and friends take the time to discover who you are on the inside. Strengthen your stronger qualities and develop the areas that you know are necessary to survive.

Anticipate Fears: Don’t pretend that you will have no fears. Begin thinking about what would frighten you the most if forced to survive alone. Train in those areas of concern to you. The goal is not to eliminate the fear, but to build confidence in your ability to function despite your fears.

Be Realistic: Don’t be afraid to make an honest apraisal of situations. See circumstances as they are, not as you want them to be. Keep your hopes and expectations within the estimate of the situation. When you go into a survival setting with unrealistic expectations, you may be laying the ground work for bitter disappointment. Follow the adage ” Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.” It is much easier to adjust to pleasant surprises about one’s unexpected good fortunes than to be upset by one’s unexpected harsh circumstances.

more to come…. from the book of Survival Wisdom & Know-How

Hi Webbers,

I had an opportunity to read a little story which I posted below. If you are wondering where I have been. I had the rare opportunity to spend some time doing some external training that has left me little time to devote to the blog.

Please enjoy the short story.

ATTITUDE

Your attitude about who you are and what you have is a very little thing that makes a very big difference.

– Theodore Roosevelt

An African farmer had heard rumors that other farmers had made a lot of money after discovering some diamond mines. These rumors made the farmer anxious to sell his farm and begin his own search for diamond mines. He sold the farm and spent the rest of his life roaming aroundAfricatrying to find the mines. But he did not succeed and finally, his body spent and his spirit broken, he gave up and drowned himself.

Let us now go back to the farm that the farmer sold. The man who bought it was crossing a creek one day when he suddenly saw something glitter on the bottom of the creek. He groped with his hand in the water and picked up a beautiful stone that he decided to take home and put on the mantelpiece.

A few days later a man came to see the farmer and was dumbfounded when he saw the stone on the mantelpiece. He asked the farmer about the stone and if he realized what he had found. The farmer was not sure but said he thought the stone was a piece of crystal. But the guest new better and told the farmer that this was the largest diamond he had ever seen. The farmer found that difficult to believe but told him that stones like these covered the bottom of the creek.

It goes without saying that the creek that belonged to the farmer who sold his farm became one of the most profitable diamond mines inAfrica.
